Here’s all the info you’ll need for our big day. The “who”, “what”, “where”, “when”, and “why” of the whole operation.
Who?
If you’re here wondering who’s getting married and who this web site is for, then you probably shouldn’t be here. Here’s a random website to get you out of here:
“Do you think the universe fights for souls to be together? Some things are too strange and strong to be coincidences.” ― Emery Allen
If you’re here wondering about who is going to be there and who’s doing what, you’ve come to the right place.
What?
We’re getting married!! We’re not big on huge weddings, so we decided to just invite our immediate families and closest friends to a small ceremony where we can officially celebrate the start of our adventure as Team Konofalski. After the ceremony, we’re hosting dinner and drinks for everyone before we head out exploring with everyone for the night.
If you haven’t already, RSVP so that we have a better idea of how many parachutes we’ll need for the skydiving portion of the festivities.
Where?
The ceremony is going to take place at Hyatt The Pike, an awesome hotel in Long Beach, California. If you want to stay close-by (like in the same place close-by), it’s $229/night (but don’t book your room yet!). We’ve got a block of rooms we can book for $219/night (max), as long as we get at least 10 rooms booked. If you haven’t already, RSVP and answer some questions for us and we’ll update here as we get information from everybody. Repeat: DO NOT book your room yet.
Dinner is going to take place at Parker’s Lighthouse on the Long Beach Harbor. It’s close enough to the hotel that we can walk there after the ceremony and we’re taking care of dinner and drinks, so suit up. It’s going to be legen– wait for it– dary.
When?
The ceremony starts at 5:30pm so everyone should be there at the hotel no later than 5:00pm. If you’re late, we’re starting without you and you don’t get the super-secret password to get in (it’s “New England Clam Chowder”). We’ll have a short break for pictures and touch-ups and then we’ll head over to Parker’s Lighthouse for dinner at 7:30pm. Drinks are mandatory, unless you’d rather they not be. We’ll leave it up to you.
Why?
I have no idea. Why she would ever want to marry a nerd like me is one of life’s great mysteries.
